My printer is not on the list (compatibility list)

Unfortunately, not all manufacturers make their printer so they can talk to 3rd party software like SimplyPrint. Therefore, there is unfortunately a likelihood that your printer is not compatible with our software.

If your printer is not on the compatibility list, it does not necessarily mean that your printer is not going to work. It just means there is no one else with this printer on the platform. You can check the following to find out if your printer is compatible from a technical standpoint:

You can Google "Does X printer work with OctoPrint?" You will usually be able to find a forum or similar where you can find an answer. If the answer is no, then there is not much that can be done to make it work other than changing out the mainboard.

SimplyPrint uses silhouettes of your printers to enhance the user experience. The silhouettes make it easier to recognize your printers from each other inside the panel. However, this means that our library of printers is going to be expanded as people add printers that the system has not seen before. Until we get your particular printer type added to the list, you can select the printer under “Any Genetic Printer”. You will be asked to enter the name and manufacturer of your printer along with the bed size. Then a SimplyPrint employee will add your printer model to the list as soon as possible and you will receive an email when you can go and choose the correct model.
